Nottingham Forest and Manchester United Battle for Wembley in Carabao Cup Semi-Final
As the Carabao Cup reaches its semi-final stage, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United will face off in a two-legged tie with the ultimate goal of reaching Wembley Stadium for the final.
Both teams have had impressive runs in the tournament thus far, with Forest securing their spot by defeating Midlands rivals Wolves on penalties in the quarter-final and United cruising past League One side Charlton Athletic with a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.
The first leg of the semi-final will take place at the City Ground on Wednesday, with the return leg at Old Trafford the following week.
Forest will be without first choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who is currently out for 4-6 weeks due to a thigh injury, and Jesse Lingard is a doubt for the first leg due to a hamstring injury. However, Lingard was spotted in training on Tuesday.
On the other hand, Manchester United will welcome back midfield general Casemiro, who missed the defeat to Arsenal last Sunday due to suspension. Defender Axel Tuanzebe is also fit and available, though he is down the pecking order at center back behind Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
United will be without Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot and Donny van de Beek, who are all currently injured.
